STRATUS UNVEILS FREE THREE-TRACK 'JUICED' EP

After releasing a few singles in the past couple months, versatile Chicago bass producer Stratus is back with ‘Juiced,’ his first EP since ‘Power Up,’ which was released almost exactly one year ago. In the wake of prior releases with labels like Ultra Records, OWSLA, and Smog, Stratus has decided to strike out on his own, self-releasing this enthralling three track EP full of complex melodies that pave the way for striking, dancefloor-friendly drops.

Uplifting trap/dubstep opener “Fokya,” which was called “mosh pit inducing” by Nest HQ, kicks things off with a bang, and is followed by “Grim Ripper,” an intense trip into the world of big room house that LessThan3 called a “visceral banger.” Stratus himself said that he “wanted to make the drop as stimulating and in-your-face as possible."

Finally, the title track “Juiced” closes the EP with pure trap style, where Stratus aimed to capture the vibe of “some sweaty, jungley, after-after-hour party.”

With just three tracks on this EP, Stratus manages to touch on a wide array of emotions and genres, with dancefloor-packing energy throughout. He will have more releases in the coming months, so keep an eye on this space for more.

Stratus has played at festivals including Lollapalooza, Northcoast, Summer Camp and Spring Awakening, and has played shows alongside artists  ETC!ETC!, Borgore, 12th Planet, Adventure Club, and 3LAU, among many others. He will no doubt be hitting the stages again, once he gives himself a break from the studio.
